Main Stage
Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder
Country-bluegrass masters. A life full of music. That's the story of Ricky Skaggs. By age 21, he was already considered a "recognized master" of one of America's most demanding art forms, but his career took him in other directions, catapulting him to popularity and success in the mainstream of country music. His life's path has taken him to various musical genres, from where it all began in bluegrass music, to striking out on new musical journeys, while still leaving his musical roots intact.
Keller Williams and The Travelin’ McCourys
One-man jamband Keller Williams with the first family of bluegrass, The Travelin’ McCourys. They are on the road—and online—entertaining audiences with live shows that include some of the best musicians and singers from all genres. It’s always different, always exciting, and always great music.
Steep Canyon Rangers
A bluegrass band at their core, the Steep Canyon Rangers effortlessly walk the line between festival favorite and sophisticated string orchestra. They’re as danceable as the most progressive, party-oriented string band, and equally comfortable translating their songs for accompaniment by a full symphony.
Sierra Hull
Mandolin sensation. Boundaries—age, genre or otherwise—don't hamper an artist like Sierra Hull. At 23, she's already earned considerable respect in the bluegrass world, as a singer, songwriter and mandolin player. If fact, the IBMA's voting members have nominated her for the Mandolin Player of the Year award alone for the past 7 years - and there's a good chance she will be the first woman ever to win that award. Her music has taken her all around the world from Japan to Jerusalem to some of the most prestigious venues in the U.S. including The Grand Ole Opry, Carnegie Hall and The White House.
Cris Jacobs
Singer-songwriter Cris Jacobs has explored the outer realms of bluegrass, folk, funk, country, blues, soul, and rock with stylistic reverence, adventurous alchemy, and emotional sincerity. Throughout his musical travels he’s amassed a dedicated fanbase engaged by the warmth and high quality of his lived-in songs.
abinet is a band with roots firmly planted in the Appalachian tradition. They wear their influences like badges, honoring the canon of roots, bluegrass, country, and folk, weaving these sounds into a patchwork Americana quilt.
Colebrook Road
A 5 piece string band that creates original music through banjo, mandolin, upright bass, guitar, dobro, and fiddle – Colebrook Road achieves a 20th century sound through 21st century songs.
Man About a Horse
Contest Winner
With their blend of heartfelt originals, unique versions of popular tunes, and traditional bluegrass, Man About a Horse makes acoustic music that cuts across generational lines. And when you see them perform, you know they have a heck of a lot of fun doing it.
